The health and safety of the Move It community is our priority. With the evolving situation around COVID-19, we want to make sure Move It helpers and customers know the best ways to help protect themselves and others when requesting a delivery or move. According to the CDC and local health officials, people who have been diagnosed with COVID-19, suspect they may have it, or are being evaluated for it should not use Move It.
We continue to monitor the ongoing situation and will make updates based on official guidance from federal and local health authorities. Move It will always do what we can to keep those that rely on our platform safe.
FAQ on COVID-19 protocol
What is Move It doing to help Pros & Muscle and customers stay safe?
We are monitoring the coronavirus situation closely, and taking action based on guidance from the CDC and local health officials. Our focus is on helping keep our customers, helpers and team members safe. We have a dedicated team solely to this issue, and will continue to take action as needed.
Move It has been in touch with helpers to make sure they have the latest guidance from the CDC and local health officials on how to best protect themselves.
We have safety protocol in place to insure the safety of our customers and helpers. We will provide personal protective equipment (PPE) to our helpers that need them.
Masks, shoe covers, and gloves for helpers will be mandatory where needed.
Avoid skin to skin contact and respectfully keep distance from each other.
We’ve asked our Helpers to wear work gloves at all times and disinfect their tools, supplies, and moving equipment daily.
We ask that both customers and Helpers use hand sanitizer and/or wash hands before and after each Move It.

That’s okay! Move It has different levels of service.
Standard Service - Your item(s) will be delivered inside to the room of your choice
Front Door Service - Your item(s) will be delivered to your front door
Curbside Service - Your item(s) will be left safely in front of your place
What precautions are your teams taking to prevent the spread of the virus?
We are actively communicating with the workers on our platform to ensure they’re taking every precaution to remain healthy and safe. This includes
Practicing CDC recommended hand-washing techniques and other prevention methods
Providing PPE to all helpers to avoid physical contact
Staying home if they’re showing any symptoms of illness (whether related to COVID-19 or not)
Cleaning and disinfecting trucks used on each job
Additionally, we have set up a cross-functional, national response team here at Move It, where we will continue monitoring COVID-19 updates. All actions taken will be based on the advice of governments, public-health authorities, and medical professionals.
Are there any precautions I should take during my move?
We’re asking customers to follow basic protocol related to social distancing. This includes
Maintaining a 4-foot to 6-foot distance from Pros & Muscles as they work
Refraining from any participation in the move
Cleaning furniture that is being moved or delivered (before your helpers arrive)
Disinfecting items that have been padded and wrapped once they’re unwrapped
Disposing of all packing materials once the move or delivery is complete
Can I reschedule or cancel my move if I am feeling ill?
Yes. Please do. If you are sick or showing symptoms, please do not book Move It. We’ve asked the same of our Helpers. Cancel prior to the start of your requested service. Please see cancelation policy
What if I suspect one of the movers is ill when they arrive for my move?
If you are not comfortable and suspect a helper being ill, please get to a safe place, cancel your move or delivery before they begin, and contact customer support team.
